Prenatal Chiropractic Care
The Benefits of Seeing a Chiropractor During Pregnancy
While challenging at times, pregnancy is a beautiful and rewarding season of life. Our goal is for every mom to understand that her body was specifically and intelligently designed for the birthing process. We strive to educate families about the benefits of chiropractic care before, during, and after pregnancy.
The benefitsA calmer nervous system
Adjustments help shift you out of fight-or-flight and into the rest-and-digest state your pregnancy runs best on.
A calmer start for your baby
Your baby's nervous system develops around the signals yours sends. When your system settles, so does theirs.
Scans before guesswork
Neurological scans show how your system is handling pregnancy, so your care plan is built from what we find.
Balance for birth
Webster-certified care balances the pelvis, giving your baby the best environment and position for delivery.
Comfort as you grow
Relief for your back, hips, and joints as your body changes.
Real rest
Deeper sleep at night, more energy through the day.
Less nausea
A calmer system often means a calmer stomach.
A stronger start to labor
A regulated nervous system heads into delivery with more resilience, for you and your baby.
Your baby's nervous system develops in step with yours. Webster-certified care helps mom's system stay regulated and adaptable, supporting that connection through pregnancy and into delivery. Dr. Dan and Dr. Sarah went above and beyond to receive certification in the Webster Technique, designed specifically for pregnant women: it provides a growing baby with the most ideal birthing environment by balancing the pelvis and decreasing stress on the uterus and surrounding ligaments.
Is it safe to get adjusted during pregnancy?
Absolutely! Both Dr. Dan and Dr. Sarah have received extensive training and are both certified in the Webster Technique, a specific adjusting technique for pregnancy. This technique provides a growing baby with the most ideal birthing environment. The Webster Technique helps balance the pelvis and decrease stress on the uterus and surrounding ligaments.
How late into pregnancy can I get adjusted?
Right through your whole pregnancy. We adapt the adjustment to every stage as your body changes, and care continues after delivery too, when your body is doing a whole new kind of work.
Can you help with pregnancy back pain?
This is one of the most common reasons moms come see us. Adjustments ease the strain your changing posture puts on your back and hips, and spinal decompression therapy is one of our favorite tools for the low back pain of pregnancy, gently unloading your spine at exactly the stage when it’s carrying the most.
Can the Webster Technique turn a breech baby?
The Webster Technique doesn’t turn babies, and we’d never claim it does. What it does is balance your pelvis and ease tension in the ligaments around the uterus, which gives your baby the best possible room to move into position on their own.
Will I need x-rays while pregnant?
No. We never take x-rays during pregnancy. Your care is guided by your health history and neurological scans, which are completely safe for you and your baby.
